I am a yoga student and a yoga teacher,
at the beginnings of a journey and life in the world of yoga.
I was introduced to yoga at the age of 10, when my Mum got cancer, she began mediation and yoga practices. Over the years I joined in with yoga nidhra, yoga retreats, and hatha classes. As I grew up I increasingly became aware of what I felt to be injustices in the world, and also became increasingly interested in Buddhism as an older teenager, resonating and practicing the teachings of Buddhism.
Since then I have had many journeys in life and yoga, part of which has lead me to entering into being a Hatha Yoga teacher. Learning and completing my first 200 hour certificate at Himalayan Yogini School of Yoga in Nepal, and currently continuing my training in 300 Hour Sacred Seeds School in nipaluna (Hobart). I have also practiced Ashtanga, and Iyengar and massively appreciate these styles too. I am a beginner teacher and always a student, I teach from my heart and introduce you to yoga practices that I hope can offer you as much as it is offering me. Yoga has helped me gain knowledge and insight about myself, which I couldn’t have known or realised before, this helps me in my relationships, choices and experience of life.
The practices of yoga have helped to widen, and deepen my awareness of myself and of life. That life is constant, it is forever changing, and through continuing my practice I become increasingly humbled and empowered. So for any who are interested in learning practices that help you evolve as a being: spiritually, mentally and physically I offer to you what I have learnt so far. Personally I value gentleness and believe all in the world could do with a little more kind energy, so I am teaching with the Hatha yoga style a balance of compassion and awareness. As a teacher I will adapt to each student and their needs ππ½ and most importantly encourage each student to listen to their own be-ing.
